About us
Bill Bailey Publishers’ Representatives (BBPR) founded in 1973, is an experienced and diligent freelance sales agency representing publishers across all categories of book: from the arts and gastronomy to science and travel. We also sell stationery, puzzles and calendars.
Our team consists of four seasoned representatives supported by our office manager, Tessa Brown. Collectively, we spend approximately 70 weeks a year on the road, conducting regular sales trips throughout Europe, including Scandinavia and Eastern Europe.
We maintain close relationships with around 800 active accounts: including retail stores, wholesalers, museums, and specialist outlets, most of which we visit twice annually.
Bill Bailey Publishers’ Representatives have a stand at both the London and Frankfurt Book Fairs, meeting there with key accounts and strengthening our publishers’ visibility in the market.
Meet the Team
Matt Parsons (Partner)

Matt holds a degree in French and Physical Education and has been with BBPR since 1987.
Over the years, he has built numerous relationships across nearly all European territories.

Jenny Hawkins
​
Jenny holds a degree in French and Marketing. She has worked for BBPR for over 10 years, she leads our sales efforts in Switzerland and shares responsibility for France with Matt.

Nick Hammond (Partner)
​
Nick has a degree in Business Administration and joined BBPR in 1996. Alongside Matt, he co-owns the business in a 50/50 partnership and has experience selling in most of the territories we cover.

Slobodan Crevar
​
Sloba has a degree in History and a background in bookselling in Belgrade. He joined BBPR in 2009 and brings deep knowledge of the Eastern European market.

Tessa Brown
​
Tessa manages our operations from the UK office, coordinating travel, client communications, and logistics.
